1) Climb to “3000” feet

“There are more highways in the skies than you can shake a stick at! Victor airways, Jet airways, controlled airspaces, corridors, departure and arrival routes, wormholes (Oh sorry! That's Deep Space Nine!) and also preferred VFR and IFR routes. These are routes established between busy airports to increase system efficiency and capacity. For the most part, they are designed to achieve balanced traffic flows among high density terminals.”
