You are pointed to the approximate location of what is today (you might be approaching yesterday of course) the city of Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. This country is just south of the Arctic Circle. It was (or will be) settled by Norwegians in the ninth and tenth centuries, with an economy dominated by its fishing industry. Its people have the highest literacy rate in the world, at 99.9 percent.

Just this side of where the two land masses create a corner with the water (the land may be dark green there, looking almost like a runway, if you have a color monitor) is your in-tended landing point. Elevation is 300 feet.
