In the hope that, like me, you love to track long, winding rivers across a countryside, I give you the long, beautiful reaches of Virginia's Rappahannock. This river is a smaller, more-or-less parallel companion of the Potomac. The Rappahannock runs into Chesapeake Bay like the Potomac, which is to the north of it.

I burden you with no anecdote, description, or history. A river is for unburdening.
