The idea here is to fly between the roadway and the suspension girders, not over them. You'll have to immediately back off on your power and get down a bit lower. Don't get too low, however--you'll be in the East River or fly smack into the cars tooling across Manhattan Bridge. Once safely past the bridge, put on some power again in a hurry, or you'll still wind up wet. Your pass-through point is just to the right of the center of the structure.
This magnificent bridge, completed in 1909, has a main suspension span of 1470 feet, and carries eight railroad tracks and two footpaths in addition to its roadway.
