The IFR Pilot

In addition to holding an instrument rating on your license, you must meet several other requirements to fly an IFR trip:

1. You must have a current medical certificate.
2. You must have accomplished a biennial flight review within the preceding 24 months.
3. You must have flown six hours on instruments and made at least six instrument approaches within the last six months.

Fortunately, whether you meet these requirements is of no consequence for an IFR flight on Flight Simulator.
